Many of you will already be aware of the devolution proposals for Nottinghamshire, Nottingham, Derbyshire and Derby. The proposals are now open to public consultation until 9th January 2023. More information is available atwww.eastmidlandsdevolution.co.ukThere is an online survey which can be completed herewww.eastmidlandsdevolution.co.uk/have-your-sayThere has been some concern following news that the Ivy Medical Practice has left the village and will continue to operate from Burton Joyce. It seems that there has been problems in the relationship between the practice and the Landlord which could not be resolved. It would be inappropriate to comment further on this. However, we have been notified that improvements to the premises are to be expedited and that Jubilee is committed to the provision of GP services in Lowdham and will occupy the premises vacated by Dr Panesar.

NSDC will send a road sweeper to clean out the gutters on Main Street on 5th October. The Council will post flyers through residents doors but we wish to emphasise the importance of the gutters being cleaned before winter. This obviously helps alleviate the risk of flooding. We know that it can be inconvenient but it would be very helpful if all vehicles could be parked elsewhere until the sweeping has been concluded.
