As part of our ageing well offer, we deliver Best Years Hubs around the Newark and Sherwood District and will soon be opening a new one at The Leys in Lowdham.
Lowdham Parish Councillors are made up of a group of enthusiastic local people who meet every first Thursday of the month in the Community Building meeting room of the sports ground on Old Tannery Drive just off Southwell Road When people in the community need support and guidance, it is often the parish council that they turn to. Amongst other things, we co-ordinate local flood response plans and the neighbourhood watch. We organise the planting of trees and flowers to improve the appearance of Lowdham, and we organise village ‘tidy ups’ to maintain a good-looking village. We consider planning applications within the village, and we enlist the help of Newark & Sherwood Councillors and the County Council to support any needs within the village.
