Cllr Chris Thompson

I’ve lived in the village for over 20years and have been fortunate to enjoy many of the facilities it provides. I am married with two adult sons who have long flown the nest and I now have the opportunity to contribute to the community I am so lucky to live in.

I’m particularly interested in infrastructure issues relating to the village such as the possible changes to the A6097/612 roundabout and in supporting other councillors as we work to address the village flooding issues. In addition, I am keen, that where possible, the Parish Council should look to improve facilities for younger people in the village

Cllr Nigel Hunt

Although I have only been a resident of Lowdham for the past 6 years, I have had ties to the village for many more. My wife has worked at the pre-school based at the village hall for over 15 years and our two boys went to the primary school. I also have a daughter who has recently moved in to Lowdham with her husband and daughter. I also help behind the scenes at Pantomime group and have been known to make a stage appearance in the past.

I am immensely proud to be a part of the village and I have enjoyed becoming part of a welcoming and supportive community. I now intend to give back all I can to a village that has given me and my family so very much

Cllr Paul Harrison

I have lived in and around the Nottingham area since 1977 and moved to Lowdham over 20 years ago.  This will be my second stint as a parish councillor (having served previously in 2004-7).  I am married and fast approaching retirement.  My background is in finance where I have held a number of senior positions and I hope that some of my knowledge can help manage the council’s budgeting and financial performance.

Cllr Andy Coles

I have lived with my family in the village for over 10 years now, and have been active initially with Friends of Lowdham School and more recently with the Lowdham Colts Football Club where I am on the committee as the Child Welfare Officer.

I have a passion for bringing the community together by involving all ages in various village events. I became a Parish Councillor to help maintain and preserve the uniqueness of our village. We are very lucky to live in such a beautiful rural environment.

I believe the parish council is appointed to actively represent the parishioners, operating with trust, soundness of thinking, openness and fair judgement to ensure Lowdham can continue to offer people what it has to me and my family in the future, whilst retaining the character and open spaces that make it the place it is today.

Cllr Mike Poyzer

Having lived most of my life in various parts of Nottingham city it has been a joy to join the residents of Lowdham for the last 10 years. I only regret not moving here sooner.
I was the founder member of Nottingham Organic Gardeners 28 years ago and so a keen gardener & promoter of environmental issues.
