Cllr Emma Wilson

I am an Associate Professor in Public Health at the University of Nottingham. I lead postgraduate public health education training and undertake health research in conjunction with Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. My research work is focused around breast cancer, health inequalities in preschool children, and the impact of the our environment on health outcomes.

I have lived in Lowdham for 20 years, and have been a Parish Councillor for 7 years. I am also the Chair of Governors for Lowdham C of E primary school. I have two children who attend childcare and education settings in the village.

My parish council interests lie around flood alleviation, health provision and community services. I am a member of the Lowdham Flood Action Group (FLAG), and I am a link councillor to the Environment Agency on the flood alleviation work in the village.

Cllr Paul Harrison

I have lived in and around the Nottingham area since 1977 and moved to Lowdham over 20 years ago.  This will be my second stint as a parish councillor (having served previously in 2004-7).  I am married and fast approaching retirement.  My background is in finance where I have held a number of senior positions and I hope that some of my knowledge can help manage the council’s budgeting and financial performance.

Cllr Andy Coles

I have lived with my family in the village for over 10 years now, and have been active initially with Friends of Lowdham School and more recently with the Lowdham Colts Football Club where I am on the committee as the Child Welfare Officer.

I have a passion for bringing the community together by involving all ages in various village events. I became a Parish Councillor to help maintain and preserve the uniqueness of our village. We are very lucky to live in such a beautiful rural environment.

I believe the parish council is appointed to actively represent the parishioners, operating with trust, soundness of thinking, openness and fair judgement to ensure Lowdham can continue to offer people what it has to me and my family in the future, whilst retaining the character and open spaces that make it the place it is today.

Cllr Mike Poyzer

Having lived most of my life in various parts of Nottingham city it has been a joy to join the residents of Lowdham for the last 10 years. I only regret not moving here sooner.
I was the founder member of Nottingham Organic Gardeners 28 years ago and so a keen gardener & promoter of environmental issues.
